REISSUE: “French Kiss” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Lil’ Louis

Lil’ Louis (Marvin Louis Burns) is a DJ and producer who took the concept of house music and placed several of his innovative twists into the mix during the end of the 80’s. “French Kiss” is his big 1989 techno/acid house track that took dance floors by storm and also influenced many in the New Beat genre to enhance their own creative minds in a new direction. This sensual pulsating track has the vocals of Shawn Christopher (“Don’t Lose The Magic”, “Another Sleepless Night”) making it surge with a feeling of sheer ecstasy on the dance floor. This one has been recreated by many instrumental bands with the original flair intact. One of the big house thumpers and a start for Lil’ Louis to stake his claim during the house music era.

I have taken the 12” version and instrumental of “French Kiss” and re-ad mistered a new edge for this ReStructure Mix. A Latin percussion track guides the sexy feeling into a new arrangement and re-edit. This piece is a salute to the electronic genre and of course the house mix.
