ReStructure Mix Update (6/4/22): “Je T’aime” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Saint Tropez

Saint Tropez is a session band from W. Michael Lewis and Laurin Rinder (El Coco, Le Pamplemousse, Tuxedo Junction) which became an icon for the erotic approach at recording disco music and displaying it as well. The first project from 1977 contained a disco-fied cover of Serge Gainsbourg's “Je T’aime” with the orchestral swirling strings and lustful adlibs. This version is one of the sensual moments of disco where the art is the timing of the bass lines and the striking of violins. A wonderful time for this during disco music formulation and a successful time on the dance floor.

I have taken the album version of Saint Tropez’s “Je T’aime” and added a little fire to this ReStructure Mix. The strings are used to create new segments for some added breaks and a looped opportunity for the sensual moans for energy and mystique.
