ReStructure Mix Update (4/12/23): “Just Like You” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Heat

Heat is a soul/disco ensemble produced by David Wolfert and Tom Saviano – featuring vocals from Ed Whiting, Jean Marie Arnold and Tom Saviano. “Just Like You” is the single from their self-titled 1980 project and echoes the disco-funk sound of the late 70’s with a jazz fusion. This powerful track has some great vocal as well as rhythm guitars that administer the groove in more places than one. The album displays the mellow grooves which follow more of a contemporary jazz feel and gives off a nice and laid back yet instinctive edge.

I have taken the album version of “Just Like You” and moved the jazz feel into a more dance floor ReStructure Mix. More of the bass and rhythm guitars given a stage as well as more of the chorus which make the song work well.
