JB Orchestra is a project from musician/producer Jimmy Brown and “Come Alive” from his 1991 album titled “Tambourine Fever”. This beat driven track is ethereal and as close you can get to an outer body experience on the dance floor – complete with chants and positive suggestions to accompany this. The track has a foundation much like the sound of the early hip-hop beats from tracks like “The Power” from Snap. Using this base the aural feel gives this piece a relaxing quality that is very pleasing. The unification of energy seems to be pointed in the retro culture of the 60’s with a dose of universal love injected. It is one of my favorite sleaze tracks and still leads my mind in a calm and peaceful place.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Come Alive” and used elements of each one for the assemblage of this ReStructure Mix. I have added a few new percussion pieces to accent some of the existing sounds and brings this one back into the light.
