Astaire is a high energy project on the UK label Passion Records – produced by Nigel Stock and Nigel Wright. The magic of this session are the vocals of Tracy Ackerman who began her dance floor stent with Astaire and went on to recording as a solo artist in the latter 80’s. “Turn Me On Again” is their single from 1987 and is co-produced by John Davies. This powerful and exhilarating piece is one of the tracks in this genre which peaks over and over with several ricochet effects and the chorus which brings on an uplifting and powerful moment. It is one where Tracy’s vocal yearn more and more giving way to a surrender of her desire.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Turn Me On Again” and reworked the production for a new ReStructure Mix. A layer of new percussion lifts segments of the new arrangement and a few new breaks are added.
