ReStructure Mix Update (11/9/23): “Gimme Some Lovin’” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Fun Fun

Fun Fun is an Italo-disco project from producers Dario Raimondi and Alvaro Ugolini – and vocalists Ivana Spagna, Antonella Pepe and Angela Parisi. “Gimme Some Lovin’” is a sweeter sounding cover of the Steve Winwood/Spencer Davis Group track from 1967, This electronic hi-NRG/Italo house arrangement is a more melodic feel for the classic song and takes on a whole new message with the softer vocal approach. It moves along with riffs done in a fast moving synchronized movement and make this cover version stand alone in its entirety.

I have taken the 12” vocal and dub version of Fun Fun’s “Gimme Some Lovin’” and created a new ReStructure Mix for the make shift of a new stance. I have used layers of the existing version to recreate a new experience for Fun Fun to take the wheel.
