The Tyrrel Corporation is a house music project from England featuring John Watson and Tony Barry. Releasing two albums and several notable singles. “Going Home” is from their 1992 project “North Of Eden” - produced by Mike Percy. One of the resilient sounds of the club/house period of the early 90’s with all of the excitement of the 80’s riffs along with new technical pieces. The track is full of soulful vocals in the house tradition with a mild climatic ending. This one gives a great moment during a time where dance music was making more than a statement - it was shaping the sound of where pop music would take on and morph its delivery.
I have taken the “scat” version of “Going Home” and translated the instrumental version in this ReStructure Mix. Using the climbing chorus as a drop in antidote for the purpose of dancing into this heavy rhythmic piece.
