ReStructure Mix Update (1/27/26): ”(Can You) Feel The Passion”  – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Blue Pearl

Blue Pearl is a deep house/techno project from Durga McBroom and Martin Glover. Their first single “Naked In The Rain” from 1990 blended the deep house sound into mainstream dance music. The project was produced by Youth and Howard Gray with a hard edged feel in many variations which welcomed the 90’s in with a new edge. “(Can You) Feel The Passion” is their single from 1991 which began as a rave hit titled “Playing With Knives” which enters an intense sexual arena for lead vocalist Durga to play a hardcore dominatrix doing what she does best. It has the overall feel of a heavy metal song that is buried under suggestive lyrics where this one delivers it plain in sight. It is a great outline for the unation of rave, techno and house music and still delivers a jolt.

I have taken the 12” versions of “(Can You) Feel The Passion” and have taken pieces of each version to deliver this ReStructure Mix. A new outline in execution is placed for an energetic intro in the hardcore play world for Blue Pearl.
