Xpansions is a house music project from Martin Spreckley, Phil Drummond, Richie Malone and Sally Anne Marsh. Their 1990 release titled “Move Your Body (Elevation)” is one of the most identifiable underground club tracks of its time. Produced by Richie Malone this number utilizes the street and club riffs of the time and creates a luminous aura in its wake. A fierce drum beat and several samples from Rose Royce and The Amazing Bongo Band bring this intense track to the floor. With the samples of the lead vocal repeating the chorus riff in segments are one of the moments which bring house dance music to its feet. A song which outlines the early 90s club direction and dedication to bringing the light to its brightest beam.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Move Your Body (Elevation)” to a new outline in this ReStructure Mix. I have paced the synthetic strings into a new intro where they bring the song into a new state of mind and dance.
