ReStructure Mix Update (12/17/19) “Shame And Scandal In The Family” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Caprice

Caprice is a project from legendary disco producer Jacques Fred Petrus and reflects a new sound for his repertoire with past projects Peter Jacques Band, Macho and Revanche. Arrangements on Caprice are a full Euro-disco sound with plenty of strings and lyrical vocals. A nice outline of Petrus’ ability to create with the changes in dance music as he did in the early 80’s with disco funk bands Change and B.B. and Q Band. “Shame and Scandal In The Family” is a song written in the 1940’s by a Calypso singer named Sir Lancelot and has since become a novelty standard throughout time. This disco cover remains full of the Calypso feel; with plenty of percussion and the new disco female ensemble to outline the dilemma.

I have taken the album version of “Shame And Scandal In The Family” and have created a new ReStructure Mix using the existing percussion to break it into a new layout. There are a few new breaks and rearranging of segments.
