REISSUE: “Do You Like The Way That It Feels” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tempest Trio

REISSUE: “Do You Like The Way That It Feels” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Tempest Trio Tempest Trio is Mike Theodore and Dennis Coffey – two of dance music most prized talents. Both Theodore and Coffey were ahead of the funk long before it hit the dance floors of the late 70’s. Mike Theodore had made his “Cosmic Wind” production an event for the dance floor and along with Coffey had made projects from C.C. and Company, King Errisson and The Mike Theodore Orchestra top of the disco chain. “Do You Like The Way That It Feels” comes from their project for Marlin Records from 1979 – Tempest Trio. The funk-disco track plays out like Bootsy Collins hit the disco scene with more funk and relish. A great piece of late 70’s disco music with the flair that only Theodore and Coffey were able to assemble. I have taken the album version of “Do You Like The Way That It Feels” and reedited a ReStructure Mix to pay tribute to this magic pair of musicians in Tempest Trio. It uses more of the riffs that jump in and out of a rhythmic vibration and proves once again that disco and funk were meant to collide.
