ReStructure Mix Update (1/19/25):”More Than A Memory” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Anita Pointer

Anita Pointer is the second to the eldest of the Pointer Sisters trio and takes a moment to present a solo project along with producer Naratha Michael Walden. From her project titled “Love For What It Is” from 1987 this single echoes the pop-dance beauty of the repertoire which they played out in the synth-pop 80’s. “More Than A Memory” is a track asking a new romantic involvement to please feel deeper and love deeper so that the bond can be strong and survive. It is a wonderful performance from Anita and she displays the light emotion necessary to bring a nice essence to this song. 

I have taken the 12” West Coast vocal and instrumental of “More Than A Memory” and have placed it into the ReStructure Mix realm. More drum beats from the original are used to bang out the new breaks and arrangement of this new remix.
