Fun Fun is an Italo-disco project whose first release “Happy Station” in 1983 helped to bring the Italo-disco sound to dance floors. The project became a dance floor addition with each release in following years. “Could This Be Love” is their single from 1987 - produced by Alvaro Ugolini and Dario Raimondi. This light and simple love song is in their stripped down sound - follows the edge of the time when the rolling bass and syndrums pumped and pounded out the rhythm. Lyrics are basic and flow with the melody as what grows here is the sound which makes the lighter and sweet sound of Italo-disco rock.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Could This Be Love” and reused the wonderful pieces originally assembled by Ben Liebrand into a new ReStructure Mix. The arrangement is given a new twist using a small sample of “Happy Station” to move this one in a new way.
