Andronicus is Jonathan Blanks - a dance music producer who worked with the house/techno approach on many of his projects. “Make You Whole” is his 1992 release which features the arsenal this talented man was capable of. A fast and deep pulsating piece which is broken into rhythm segments and paused for another fueling moment to hit harder and more intensely. The use of the Daisy Dee track “Crazy” from 1990 gives a more new beat drive with the Technotronic bass and beats yet Blanks gives us more to digest. With the early 90s resonating from the house, acid house and techno fusion there is a purpose for this piece and it still makes its point quite evident.
I have taken the 12” versions of “Make Your Whole” and stretched out the groove even more for this new ReStructure Mix. Using the percolating sequencers as the big line to cross for the new breaks and segments to carry on this tradition.
