“Drive” by Paul Parker – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Paul Parker is a disco artist who brought an early high energy fuse to the early 80’s with his recordings with the legendary Patrick Cowley. Later in the mid-80s his work with high energy producer, Ian Anthony Stephens brought him attention from dance floors once again. “Drive” is Paul’s fantastic cover of The Cars song from 1984 and Paul’s released in 1993. The winding energy in this dance version is a wonderful take on the ballad and transforms incredibly well with Paul’s, always defiant vocal.
I have taken scenes from the 1977 horror film, “The Car” starring James Brolin and Kathleen Lloyd and created a bit of campy humor with many of the scenes of this ‘demon’ of a four wheel monster terrorizing a small town
