ReStructure Mix Update (5/2/22): “I Like It” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – D:Ream
D:Ream is Pete Cunnah and Al McKenzie – a house/dance duo who began their journey onto dance floors in 1991. “I Like It” is from their 1993 project titled “D:Ream On Vol. 1” and is one of the cuts which drew my attention thanks to the extensive diva (Linda Dugan) working her way through this track. A retro disco bassline winding up and down this piece and lots of nice breaks with our lady of the dance floor taking us on a trip of full ecstasy.
I have taken the 12” version from their EP “4 Things 2 Come” and worked the hot stuff with a new stomping beat and some percussion to bring out the rhythm. This one plays out with more of the sweet key-strings sweeping over the jam.
