ReStructure Mix Update (5/4/22): “High Above The Clouds” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Narada Michael Walden

Narada Michael Waden is one of music’s rare talents – as an artist, songwriter, musician and producer. His 1985 project titled “The Nature Of Things” was another surprise with the single “High Above The Clouds” taking dance floors on another journey. This one is just what it says – it is celestial and flows into streams of fantasy and emotion. One of the mid-80’s memorable moments on the dance floor where the high energy outline of the period was matched with a unique touch that only Walden could bring.

I have taken the 12” vocal version of “High Above The Clouds” and worked on extending our flight with more of the rolling bass edge and the sweetness of each chorus. A new drum beat pounds us out into the heavens and the closing is a fade from the peak of the song.
