ReStructure Mix Update (5/1/22): “American Soviets” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – C.C.C.P.

C.C.C.P. is Rasputin Stoy and Frank Schendler – a synth-pop band from the late 80’s who struck an appropriate chord with their dance track, “American Soviets”. A middle-eastern feel throughout the song gives the funk-edged beat and clap tracks a nice flowing edge as the vocals reminiscent of that 80’s poker-face style delivery makes a nice layer. This one was always a secret weapon to make the dance floor come alive during a lull and always made the turntable take note of its extended play.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental mix of “American Soviets” and rewired the territory for a few new surprises. There are extended loops on the riffs that make this clever piece an 80’s classic for this ReStructure Mix.
