“Poupée Flash” by Première Classe – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Première Classe is an 80s synth-pop band lead by producer Zedix. Their 1982 single “Poupée Flash” was made a delicacy from Disconet in the US and a remix by Ed Smit. This fast moving French spoken piece utilizes the fast rolling synthesizer pieces and parts to help bridge the keyboard riffs and heavy drum breaks into a high energy/nu wave dance feel. One of the unique numbers of its time and one to celebrate as a contributor of innovation.
I have taken the 1972 film “The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie” and rewired segments of the surreal drama into the fast paced mix. The group here who only want to dine together face many fantasies and realities that ultimately bring this film into its own style.
