Plato's Retreat - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Joe Thomas

• Plato's Retreat - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Joe Thomas

Joe Thomas was a talented flute musician who played with Herbie Mann, Moe Kaufman and Jeremy Steig. His influence in music ranged from 1974 - 1983.

In 1977 he began working many engineers and musicians whose part in disco music were vital: Brad Baker, Tony Bongiovi, Lance Quinn, Jimmy Maelen and Alan Schwartzberg. His compositions were always working around an instrumental of beauty - similar to a Barry White influence.

His LP "Get In The Wind" in 1978 included his beautiful piece, "Plato's Retreat" which outlined an underground sex club in New York with the chic sound of disco. It was an instant success in clubs.

The vocal ensemble included Annie Sutton, Diva Gray, Gordon Grody, Gwen Guthrie and Jocelyn Brown.

This ReStructure is dedicated to this talented musician, Mr. Joe Thomas - and also Paul C. in New York. It is a varied mix with more breaks and freaking!
