During 1979 Jean Carn recorded “Was That All Is Was” - produced by Dexter Wansel. From her LP “When I Find You Love” and this being one of the last of the great Philadelphia disco records of the 70’s.
The track has been covered by Kym Mazelle and Hannah Jones - but the original concept is Jean Carn’s. The emotion and drama in this track is an early morning moment for disco’s wondrous stage.
I have ReStructured the track and gave mind to more of the percussion and horn elements adding trickles of Jean within the storyline. It is a great opportunity to hear the song again with a new arrangement.
