REISSUE: “Ballet Dancer” by The Twins – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
The Twins are Ronny Schreinzer and Sven Dohrow. The duo is The Twins and one of the synth-pop bands from the early 80s who created an alternative vocal edge with massive synthesizers and electronic percussion. Their first huge dance floor hit “The Desert Place” is a masterful keyboard piece with a touch of the 80s nu-wave band sound. Many hits followed including “Face To Face – Heart To Heart”, “Not The Loving Kind” and “Ballet Dancer”. I have taken the 12” version of “Ballet Dancer” into this Disco Video Mix and twisted the meaning along with the visuals.
The mystery-drama film, “Black Swan” is the photoplay for this disco track. It stars Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. The direct meaning of the affection in the song is given a darker life with this Disco Video Mix.
The film was directed by Darren Aronofsky
