REISSUE: “Miss You” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Rolling Stones

REISSUE:  “Miss You” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones are rock history in their own right. The English rock group was formed in 1962 and has yet to cease performing and bringing the meaning behind the term “rock and roll”. Throughout their recording career music has always spoken for the members and their talent. In 1976 when disco music was emerging into the scene it was their hit “Miss You” which outlined the downbeat for dance floors in a rock essence. Never giving up their sound yet building it on a new foundation. The single was one of the biggest surprises for many fans as the realization that a crossover hit was barely even noticed as sound The Rolling Stones could adapt to. It was a moment of pleasure for dancers and also for many rock groups who followed a dip into the disco realm of the time.

I have taken the 12” single of “Miss You” and added percussion and looped feel to create a ReStructure Mix to pay homage to this iconic band. It flairs out in an after-hours peak which is what I felt the original long disco play was giving to the period. Another moment in shaping disco music and rock history.
