REISSUE: “Eva’s Theme – Lady Woman” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Festival

REISSUE:  “Eva’s Theme – Lady Woman” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Festival

Festival is a disco ensemble produced by Boris Midney who was an innovative producer in the late 70’s whose creative movement was to blend electronic segments, classic Philly disco pieces and a symphonic orchestral sound into a disco beat. There was always an imaginative state in his arrangements where a flush of strings could suddenly brake and a conga break would take its place. His style evolved throughout his work in the late 70’s and in many projects and made him one of the landmark producers and sounds in disco music. His disco production of the Broadway musical “Evita” was a big hit on dance floors and made his interpretation an indelible one. “Eva’s Theme: Lady Woman” is the finale in his movement and is an additional piece he added and wrote himself to give the disco opera some new flair. It has some of the great haunting power of the play itself.

I have taken the album version of “Eva’s Theme: Lady Woman” and used a few new points of my own interpretation of Midney’s masterpiece in this ReStructure Mix. There is a funk-beat effect added to a new intro with some samples from the Broadway album to give a new mystique to the track.
