REISSUE: “Bring On The Man” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – WOW WOW is one of Bobby Orlando’s hardcore and underground disco/high energy sessions which helped to ignite dance floors in the 80’s. His approach to the dance floor was a heavy layer of drums and percussion – close to influence the tribal sound of the late 80’s and early 90’s. “Bring On The Man” is a release from 1984 and gives us the full-on treatment of lyrical female vocals over a hardcore drum fantasy. One of the many favorites for myself during a transition period of dance music and also the style of Orlando’s underground disco feel. I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Bring On The Man” and re-patterned a new ReStructure Mix which gives us more of those pounding drums and keyboards. It is a new play on this classic Memo Records release for another retro look at high energy and its roots.
