REISSUE: “La Nuit Blanche” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Munich Machine

REISSUE: “La Nuit Blanche” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Munich Machine Munich Machine is a project from disco producer, Giorgio Moroder and was a major release for disco music. The production is one of the majestic blends of Euro-disco with new elements of electronic wizardry from Moroder. The second album which featured a disco-fied cover of Procol Harum’s “A Whiter Shade of Pale” in a clever format with vocals from Chris Bennett is also a continuum of Moroder’s instrumental genius weaving his keyboards and synthesizers into dance floor gems. “La Nuit Blanche” which translates into “a sleepless night” blends “Also Sprach Zarathustra” and takes the classical piece created by Richard Strauss into the disco futurism in a dramatic interlude. A must for any fan of Moroder or Munich Machine. I have taken the album version of “La Nuit Blanche” and pieces of Vienna Philharmonic’s recording of “Also Sprach Zarathustra” and reworked a ReStructure Mix for a new voyage into discos magic. There are more of the wonderful sequencers and rolling synthesizers Moroder brought to the history of dance and of course “drama”!
