ReStructure Mix Update (4/6/20) “Body Talkin’” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Kathy Barnes

Kathy Barnes is a singer whose recording career began in 1976 recording rock/folk and ballads. In 1978 she released her second album titled “Body Talkin’” which was aimed at the climbing disco craze of the late 70’s. The title track was one of the big underground surprises that DJs whom were paying attention would grab and program into peak sets. This track was produced by Dave Burgess and pumps like a high energy number way before its energy was ready for. A big vocal part for Kathy as she teases the chorus over and over in a seductive manner. One of the nice hidden surprises of 1978 and one of my favorite independent label tracks.

I have taken the 12” version of “Body Talkin’” and payed homage to this mover by giving it a ReStructure Mix facelift. I have added some new bass beats and played with the percussion tracks to give it a new arrangement.
