ReStructure Mix Update (5/20/20) “Another Life” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Kano

Kano is an Italo-disco project from producers Luciano Ninzatti, Stefano Pulga and Matteo Bonsanto whose innovative dance hit “I’m Ready” from 1980 paved a new path for Italo-disco and new variations of disco. Their 1983 album titled “Another Life” is their move onto a whole new outline for the project. This deep electronic “wall of sound” encompassed a whole new drama for dance music. Although the first Kano project featured vocals from out creative trio of producers and musicians it was soon that a lead vocal would take over each track – which became Glen White on the 1981 “New York Cake” album. In “Another Life” these lead vocals create a wonderful and tragic emotion which haunts the lyrics of a romance gone astray. It is one of the classics of Italo-disco and marks a great time for its ventures.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Another Life” and worked to create a new ReStructure Mix luring in on the mystery of the song and also a bit more piecing of its elements. It is intended to salute this monumental band and also the Italo-disco revolution in dance music during the early 80’s.
