ReStructure Mix Update (5/23/20) “The Love I Lost” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Seventh Avenue

ReStructure Mix Update (5/23/20) “The Love I Lost” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Seventh Avenue

Seventh Avenue is a disco project from producers Ian Levine and Fiachra Trench which transformed into a high energy sensation in the 80’s. As dance music became less orchestrated and more electronic the already infamous duo s worked to create some of the 80’s most memorable pieces of work for the dance floor. The changing ensemble found itself one of the first high energy “boy groups” as the members were more appealing for covers as time grew. “The Love I Lost” a cover if the Philly classic recorded by Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes in 1973 with Teddy Pendergrass on lead. It is no wonder why this one struck a chord in soul, the Philly Sound and the emerging disco sound. The emotions being emulated in the high energy version are a blue-eyed soul rendition – and done quite well.

I have taken the 12” version of “The Love I Lost” and recreated a new outline for this ReStructure Mix. The percussion and drums are emulated in a new edit to give the track a new energy and also a looping to give it a lasting feel.
