ReStructure Mix Update (5/17/20) “Can The Rhythm” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Girl Talk

Girl Talk is a duo featuring Julie Wright and Karen Wright in a high energy mode produced by Stock Aitken and Waterman in 1984. Their club hit “Can The Rhythm” is a fast moving electronic dance track that was quite popular in hardcore dance clubs. It features a touch of street riffs and high energy sequencers competing for the uplifting vocal chorus. One of the big tracks for my sets featuring hi-NRG and a lasting effect once you get into the pulsating sound of this adorable piece.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental versions of “Can The Rhythm” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix to pay tribute to the duo and also Stock Aitken and Waterman as they worked prior to Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley and their many big tracks during the late 80’s. This one features more of the riffs that power the song and more of the uplifting energy.
