REISSUE: “Gone With The Music” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Voyage

REISSUE: “Gone With The Music” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Voyage Voyage is the centerpiece of disco music from the late 70s. European disco had matured into a new experience which combined a dramatic and at times orchestral touch over percussion, rhythm guitars and heavy bass. It was one of the 70’s iconic sounds from television shows and of course disco-fied soundtracks. It was a pairing of a 60s rock experience with more pop-like elements, Voyage is Marc Chantereau, Pierre-Alain Dahan, Sauveur Mallia, Slim Pezin and Sylvia Mason-James. “Gone With The Music” is from their 1978 album “Let’s Fly” – produced by Pierre-Alain Dahan, Claudette Tokarz, and Roger Tokarz. This one of the majestic celebratory tracks that Voyage gave dance floors with a map of the world set to a disco beat. I have taken the album version of “Gone With The Music” and reworked a ReStructure Mix taking the elements that made the rock ‘n roll edged piece a new adventure. There are several new breaks and edits that give the best of what this band always gave.
