ReStructure Mix Update (6/6/20) “Brazil” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Ritchie Family

ReStructure Mix Update (6/6/20) “Brazil” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – The Ritchie Family

The Ritchie Family is Gwen Oliver, Cassandra Wooten and Cheryl Mason Jacks and their first album “Brazil” from 1975 became the outline for the disco movement of the mid-70s. This orchestrated and melodic lounge-esque feel of dance music became the start of a crossover for club music. They are known for their big disco classic “The Best Disco In Town” from their standard and even grabbed riffs from their first project. The sound of big disco orchestra hit the night clubs at an appropriate time when the music was outlining the themes and soundtracks for television shows and motion picture soundtracks. This gave disco music is swirling strings and definitive horn sections. “Brazil” is a celebratory number with the ensemble giving it their all for the crowd and it most likely one of the pieces that make The Ritchie Family a classic.

I have taken the album version of “Brazil” and reworked a ReStructure Mix with a few riffs headlining a new beat driven sound. There are a few new breaks and some effects to make this one a celebration once again.
