REISSUE: “Peaks and Valleys” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Hott City!

Hott City! Is a disco studio group from Jeffrey Steinberg and Jeffrey Parsons and features several vocalists on different tracks on the project “Ain’t Love Grand”. Released in 1979 this five track album was another one of the Butterfly Records gifts to the disco community with all of the trimmings that had evolved from the disco works of the late 70’s. “Peaks and Valleys” is the last number on the ride and is second track featuring vocalists Mildred Vaney and Ortheia Barnes – ho later became Cut Glass and recorded under the same producers the disco classic “Without Your Love” from 1980. “Peaks and Valleys” tells the story that the disco era simply was – a breath of fresh air for tired eyes and minds. It builds like an anthem which seemed the norm for these two wonderful ladies behind the vocals.

I have taken the album version of “Peaks and Valleys” and recreated a new depth in this ReStructure Mix. There is longer intro and more breaks to remind us of what a lifesaver the dance floor was in the late 70’s.
