Lisa Stansfield is a vocalist who cannot be mistaken for. From the start of her career she brought a soulful edge to her pop-dance music and was always a promising bet for something better to come. Her single “Someday (I’m Coming Back)” from 1992 – produced by Andy Morris and written by Dave Crawford (Candi Staton). It was also a part of the soundtrack to the film “The Bodyguard” with Whitney Houston. The track is another loving piece from Lisa and although a problem in the past her vocals are always sincere and bring a promise to love.
I have taken the 12” of “Someday (I’m Coming Back)” and have given the two mixes a unifying connection in this ReStructure Mix. There is more of the wonderful jazz feel as well as some new surprises from this very talented lady.
