Peter Jacques Band is a studio ensemble placed by Jacques Fred Petrus whose work with Italian arranger, Mauro Malavasi stood more than the test of time during the disco era – it created a variable of sounds for it. With many groups to their credit including Macho, Revanche, Change, B.B. & Q Band, Caprice, Rudy and Midnight Gang their music matured in various grooves. The pulsating energy of Macho and Peter Jacques Band was morphed into their funky disco arrangement by Change and B.B. & Band. The success of this sound brought them to a wider market and dance floor response. “The Louder” comes from their 1980 album titled “Welcome Back” and is an electronic-funk piece that may have been well to being a new sound for the studio bands original disco energy. It is a funk fest and another opportunity to hear the talent in arranger Mauro Malavasi’s magic.
I have taken the album version of “The Louder” and worked on bringing the groove back into another place in this ReStructure Mix. A new set of bongos are added to bring that low groove into a new place and several new breaks are added.
