REISSUE: “Take Me To The Top” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Advance

Advance is an Italo-disco funk project from Italian producers Alvaro Ugolini and Dario Raimondi – who also gave us Fun Fun and Monkey Business. This piece is one of the New York funk crossover productions closely immolating the edge that Jacques Fred Petrus brought with Mauro Malavasi with the band Change. The extraordinary and melodic feel of the song is captured by vocalist Tracy Ackerman of studio high energy groups Astaire, Mirage and Massivo. The keyboards are a longing for the crisp and emotional effect where dance becomes more of a ritual. “Take Me To The Top” is one of the hidden gems of Italo-disco in a shift from the traditional 80’s high energy into an arena of emotions and funk.

I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Take Me To The Top” and reworked a new ReStructure Mix from the favorite pieces of this great recording. I have rearranged the wonderful vocal into a new layout where the love song becomes the anthem.
