Pointer Sisters began their reign of dance floors during the early 80’s. Each project from this period on was building a path to success in the mid-80’s. “If You Wanna Get Back Your Lady” is from their 1982 project “So Excited” – produced by Richard Perry. This one always moved like a wave of funk-energy for the ladies to work their wonderful harmonies with. Many of their tracks have memorable riffs and this one of no exception. This one is an outline for the “sisters” to make their way too many hits to follow.
I have taken the 12” version of “If You Wanna Get Back Your Lady” and realigned the groove for this ReStrcuture Mix. A heavy force beat is added to transcend the foundation and more of the sequencers and play-breaks are used also.
