Suzy Q is Michelle Mills in 1981 project titled “With Your Love” and is produced by Jerry Cucuzzella (Nightlife Unlimited). “Tonight” is one of the singles which helps to set this set on fire as it contains many of the hooks that make the electronic 80’s futuristic and rhythmic as it can get. The piece gives Suzy Q an opportunity to pour her heart to a lover who she is excited to reunite with on the nightlife frontier. This one has the entire keyboard riffs move it from one end of the dance floor to another. One of the hidden gems of this project and now an outline for that 80’s electro-sound.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “Tonight” and relit the energy for this ReStructure Mix. There is a deep bass beat added to give off a nuance of rhythm to its existing form and some back-beat effects to ignite this message all over again.
