Kim Carnes’ is a singer who took a turn to dance floors following her big pop-single “Bette Davis Eyes” from 1981. Her voice is recognizable in her music and gives off a unique feel and genuine edge. “You Make My Heart Beat Faster (And That’s All That Matters)” comes from her 1983 album titled “Café Racers” – produced by Keith Olsen. This fast paced synth-pop number is unforgettable with its many hooks and the main console which is Kim’s vocal. It climbs with the bass pumping out the energy and dedication to the romance here. The 80’s has this sound plastered over the dance floors and this track brings the best of it alive.
I have taken the 12” vocal and instrumental of “You Make My Heart Beat Faster (And That’s All That Matters)” and rewired the energy again for this ReStructure Mix. More of the bass is pumped out and some of the vocals are accented for breaks and fades.
