C.D. Band is a French disco group with Benjamin Tuizir, Patrick Boceno and Sharon Woods - produced by Patrick Boceno. The project is titled “Hoodoo Voodoo” and reflects the year it was released which is 1979 - the disco wave. Many producers took part in creating for the dance floor as it had become a lucrative move in the music industry. Also, the need to be heard and the discotheques were the place to be, at the time. “Music Are You Ready” is the early anthem on the album and moves in the steps of a hardcore strike and the production is a light sample of the overall sound of these pieces. They maintain an ability to work at the right time and place yet it is somewhat obvious that it may have been a rush job to beat the bombardment of disco releases that saturated the market of 1979.
I have taken the album version of “Music Are You Ready” and relit the fire below this underdog for this ReStructure Mix. I have layered up some of the percussion tracks and placed bits and slices of the production for a new layout on the arrangement.
