ReStructure Mix Update (5/6/19) “Do It Again” - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Voyage

Voyage is one of the big disco productions whom took the disco theme and made it an art form. Their first two projects were appropriately along the subject of their name where the non-stop music took dancers around the world and back with subjects related to places and travel. In the early 80’s the project took a new edge with more of a funky sound in several tracks and synth-pop/new wave pieces. The funk treatment was performed well and left another classic from Voyage titled “I Love You Dancer”. However another groove from the project titled “Do It Again” is one which had an infectious chorus riff which kept solid in my mind at the time and throughout this ReStructure Mix. The track is the work of Marc Chantereau, Pierre-Alain Dahan and Slim Pezin who are original players from the sessions. They create a memorable sound that takes the “voyage” off of the original sound and makes it their own thanks to their talent and dedication to dance music.

I have taken the album version of “Do It Again” and created a new ReStructure Mix which outlines this nice funk song with more beats and phasing effects. The lengthier and beat driven version are a tribute to Voyage and the dance floors of the 80’s which proved that dancing was not yet over.
