Roberta Flack is a soul angel. Her voice throughout the 70’s brought love, peace and comfort. Her track “God Don’t Like Ugly” is from her 1979 album “Roberta Flack featuring Donny Hathaway” produced by Eric Mercury and Roberta – and written by Gwen Guthrie. It is a wonderful piece with a valuable lesson about the light of right and wrong in love. It is also an opportunity to hear Roberta’s beautiful vocals in a dance number with her own essence.
I have taken the album version of “God Don’t Like Ugly” and transformed the drama into a new ReStructure Mix. It is extended on both start and end and gives way to a more dub-like feel.
