ReStructure Mix Update (4/14/22): “Give It To Me Baby” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Cheri

Cheri is Amy Roslyn and Rosalind Hunt who are best known for their dance floor hit, “Murphy’s Law” from 1982. Their self- titled album was produced by Freddie James (“Get Up And Boogie”), Geraldine Hunt (“Can’t Fake The Feeling”) and Peter Dowse – and features Alma Faye on back-up vocals. “Give It To Me Baby” is the single that merged the funk into the disco realm with its intense directive and hard hitting rhythm. The piece was a big hit for me in my club and created quite a stir among those who were catching its groove from afar.

I have taken the 12” version of “Give It To Me Baby” and re-pumped the funkiness of the track over again for this ReStructure Mix. It has been leveled out with a few new breaks and a new arrangement using the duos’ enticing sensual lure.
