ReStructure Mix Update (4/20/22): “Over You” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Wendy

Wendy is a Hi-NRG project from producer Andrew Reynolds. The track “Over You” from 1988 follows the independent label sound of high energy music as it was transformed into an electronic production with pulsating bass synths and a power anthem-like theme. This song about a heartache falls into a self-alerted message from our heroine whom has come to recognize that her heart has finally let go of an abusive relationship. There are elements here that are standard 80’s feel yet the full picture delivers a message in a unique way.

I have taken the 12” single vocal and instrumental of “Over You” and replayed this drama using a slight shift in arrangement and also some new percussion tracks. It is one of the pieces that my dance floor would remain on the floor for its entirety and now it would make more sense as the drama continues.
