Yvonne Elliman is a pop-singer from the early 80s who began her career by playing London Theater in “Jesus Christ Superstar”. In 1977 her project titled “Love Me” was released and featured the hit title track and also her cover of Barbara Lewis’ 1963 soul hit, “Hello Stranger” - produced by Freddie Perren. “Love Me” became a radio hit and gave Yvonne her sound which always gave her songs a melodic and lovely accompaniment and even though the lyrics present themselves as a simple plea her delivery always creates an endearing edge.
I have taken the album version of “Love Me” along with an instrumental and reworked them for a new ReStructure Mix. The original path is spaced in segments to give it a lengthier remix and new drums and percussion are lightly added.
