If you take a look back and glance at the cover of Loose Change's credits you will find the finest musicians, engineers and production team in disco music. This was at the peak of disco music in 1979.

"All Night Man" is the single from this project which created quite a stir among disco enthusiast. It outlines a trip through every element of dance music which is perfected. The fantastic vocal is poured over the raging synthesizer like milk on a crunchy cereal. And a treat it is. This project was produced by Tom Mouton (another release along side of TJM on Casablanca Records) and features musicians such as John Davis, Keith Benson, Thor Baldursson and Arthur Stoppe among many other talents.

This ReStructure is dedicated to Peter Calandra and Tom Moulton. Peter being a San Diego disc-jockey who brought to life many nights of mine and Tom for being the ring master to a fine course of dance music in it's embryonic state.

The Parachute Club's "Rise Up" was a single produced by Daniel Lanois and mixed by John "Jellybean" Benitez for RCA Records. The song was an underground classic for many hardcore club addicts. I myself had this track on rotation for an early morning crowd - it had that sound for me.

The song is full of positive affirmations for a peaceful world that unites by clearing minds with great promise. My ReStructure is a request by "roughbear" on Multiply - and using a track from Kerim (on Multiply) by Ravi Shankar ("Tana Mana - Village Dance") as the foreground of this unifying track, I believe the point comes across again. Thanks to Kerim and "roughbear"!

Ratner made it possible for McGilpin to display his musical talents before a 70's audience waiting for hot disco material - "Superstar" is one of those underground hits that made the top of every pumping dance floor.

"Superstar" is one of those feel-good songs that expresses positive reinforcement and some of the hottest guitar licks in a disco number. Along with Bob's fierce light and rock edged vocals this cuts soars. I have taken the track and created an intro which teases and tears into the main chorus along with inverted verses.

Thanks to Mark for bringing this one to mind again - it shall never be forgotten again. May this song bring some joy and good energy to the start of your 2008 and remember, "everyone is a superstar!"

In 1978 their second LP "What You Waitin' For" was another excursion into a funk encounter. But "The Changing of The Gard" introduced a new production team, Robert Wright and Verdine White taking control of these ladies - and "Wear It Out" was the single. This ReStructure uses the power of the 12" single which runs well over the mix - this one was referred by Daniel here in San Diego and should bring back some memories of the end of the most powerful dance era in music.

Ava Cherry’s “Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire” was released on Curtum Records (Curtis Mayfield’s label) in 1980.
