REISSUE: "Automatic Lover" - Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix - Sylvia
Sylvia Robinson gave us many memorable 70's songs - from Micky & Sylvia's "Love Is Strange" to "Pillow Talk"and then onto "Shame, Shame, Shame" under the recording name Shirley & Company. She went on to bring us into a new sound called "rap" with the birth of her label Sugarhill Records. This disco juicer released in 1977 contained a great synthesizer track reminiscent of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" yet lyrics and arrangement enough to stand on it's own. It created such an impact, that it was recorded again by Dee D. Jackson and became a hit all over again.
This ReStructure extends the synthesizer tracks and loops the robotic lover throughout it. From 4 minutes to over 10!
