REISSUE: “Love Rollercoaster” by Ohio Players – Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

REISSUE: “Love Rollercoaster” by Ohio Players – Video Mix by Glenn Rivera

It was 1975 and soul music was gettin’ real funky – Ohio Players merged on the scene in 1971 originally and then again in 1974 with their big hit, “Fire” – but it was 1975 when their dance track, “Love Rollercoaster” made them apart of soul/dance music history.

You just can’t get any funkier than this. Cow bells. Whoppin’ big guitars. And keyboards that sound straight out of a 70’s reunion. Great dance track to remind us of how dance music has changed and yet somehow remains the same.

I have created a montage of scenes from Universal’s “Rollercoaster” which was released in 1977 and was featured in first release in “Sensurround” which was created for the film “Earthquake” where a low frequency sound system would give a bass rumble to the floor and vibrate each viewer. It wasn’t as effective in “Rollercoaster” as in “Earthquake” – but still quite some fun!

Featuring scenes from Universal Pictures “Rollercoaster” – RENT THE DVD!
