Bionic Boogie is disco producer, Gregg Diamond’s classic group and ensemble which helped to formulate the disco edge of the mid-70s with a mature and funky sound. His early work with Andrea True Connection (“More, More, More”) was an early sign of his creativity and masterful take on lyrics and the sound of a live band assisting his compositions. “Tiger, Tiger (Feel Good For A While)” is from his 1979 project by the same name. This album is an awareness of the changing of dance music from 1979 to the 80’s. His movements here are much more glistening with a rock/nu-wave feel in segments. Vocals are beautifully executed once again by Luther Vandross (an original session singer for Bionic Boogie) and play out a mysterious as this theme.
I have taken the album version of “Tiger, Tiger (Feel Good For A While)” and ran with the menacing sound of this playful theme and reworked it for this ReStructure Mix. There are new percussion and drum beats added and a longer feel for those creeping verses and haunting choruses.
