ReStructure Mix Update (10/7/23): “Circle Of Fire” – Glenn Rivera ReStructure Mix – Penny McLean
Penny McLean (better known as “Lady Bump” from 1975) released her third project titled “Midnight Explosion” in 1878 – produced by Michael Kunze and arranged by John Davis (and The Monster Orchestra). The single “Circle Of Fire” is the track which received the attention with its Flamenco edge and the climbing chorus which Penny brings to hilt with an effective delivery. The success of Silver Convention and Penny also starred in the ensemble brought this production into being. It is one of the disco-camp of the time period and has that sophisticated polish that disco music was formulated on.
I have taken the album version of “Circle Of Fire” and re-ignited the set again for this ReStructure Mix. There is new percussion tracks added to set the flames higher and an arrangement with more breaks added.
This track was requested by Carla Monsalve and is dedicated to her energy and her zest to keep this wonderful music alive. Thank you, Carla.
